21-24 - Hazard Mitigation Plan Update

The City of Ann Arbor is seeking to select a qualified team with expertise in Hazard Mitigation and Climate Resilience Planning for the development of a FEMA approved update to the 2017 Hazard Mitigation Plan of the City of Ann Arbor, by November 18, 2022. The 2022 plan update shall help further the city’s goal of identifying and mitigating risk to the community, infrastructure, and assets that are vulnerable to existing as well as future natural, man-made, and climate-related hazards. The City of
Ann Arbor 2022 Hazard Mitigation Plan shall serve as a guiding document that aligns with existing city policies and plans, including our commitment to equity, authentic and inclusive community engagement, carbon neutrality, and increasing the resilience of our people and place, while outlining specific and actionable strategies for reducing the impact of current and future hazards. The ultimate goal of the City of Ann Arbor 2022 Hazard Mitigation Plan is to improve the resilience of municipal and community operations and infrastructure, enabling Ann Arborites to bounce forward in the face of
a community impact or disruption.
