RFP-694 - Police In-Car Digital Video/Audio System

Summary of Specifications:
The City of Ann Arbor Police Department (“AAPD”) is seeking proposals for an installed In-Car Digital Video/Audio System based in part on the International Association of Chief’s of Police’s (IACP) In-Car Video Camera Systems “DRAFT” specifications, version 12, dated 1/18/2007. The In-Car Video Camera Systems will help the City of Ann Arbor Police Department to enhance Officers by providing an objective record of police-citizen interactions during traffic stops and other officer initiated on-site events. The city seeks a vendor that will provide an effective and carefully structured approach to implementing an In-Car Video Camera Systems. Your proposal should specify a currently available and deployed In-Car Digital Video/Audio solution that would replace at a minimum, the ten (10) existing in-car video units. Proposals should be structured on the assumption that the video units proposed for installation will not be dependent on, use part of or function as an upgrade or enhancement of existing equipment.
