The City of Auburn Hills (City) is requesting written qualifications from interested and qualified Consultants to provide professional architectural and engineering services for an addition/extension to the Primary Street Parking Structure in Downtown Auburn Hills. The successful Consultant will demonstrate proficiency and experience in parking structure design, adherence to all applicable building codes and local ordinances, local and agency permitting, preparation of construction plans and bid package, and construction administration.
In 2009, the City worked with HyettPalma, to develop an economic enhancement strategy for its new Downtown. In the years since, the City has methodically worked to implement that plan. Today, Downtown Auburn Hills is currently experiencing significant growth and development. Several mixed-use building projects have recently been completed and several others are underway Primary St Parking Structure Addition Request for Qualifications Page 3 of 11 or in the planning stages. The continued development has caused the City to look at opportunities to increase the public parking supply within the Downtown area.
• July 19, 2022 – Release of RFQ.
• August 4, 2022 – Non-mandatory pre-submittal conference held at 10:00 a.m. at the DEN, 3388 Auburn Road, Auburn Hills, MI 48326
• August 11, 2022 – Deadline to submit questions related to the RFQ by 5:00 p.m.
• August 23, 2022 – Proposals Due by 2:00 p.m.
• August 29 – September 15, 2022 – Follow up questions and/or interviews, if necessary.
• September 16, 2022 – Notification of selected firm.
• October 17, 2022 – Recommendation of Consultant contract to City Council
