SCOPE OF WORK
The library’s existing alarm system is 20 years old. The facility is 15,000 square feet with one public entrance, one staff entrance, and one emergency exit. There is a penthouse on the library roof with heating and cooling equipment. The current system provides smoke detection and sprinkler system monitoring. In addition to these functions, we wish to add intrusion detection and five panic buttons. The new alarm system will bring our library up to date with modern alarm equipment and functionality. Monitoring services are required in addition to the equipment for the alarm system.
Alarm system to include:
- Smoke detection
- Sprinkler system monitoring
- Intrusion detection (external doors and interior motion)
- Panic buttons (five total)
A minimum of a one year warranty on equipment and labor is required.
Bid submission must include equipment list (manufacturer and quantities included) for project, floor plan showing placement of equipment to accomplish design, and proposed contract form. Completed questionnaire must be submitted in bid response.
The proposal shall include all items necessary to complete the work, including delivery and handling costs. A complete job is required pursuant of the terms of this contract, therefore any labor, material equipment, overhead, profits, incidental items and associate taxes not specifically mentioned, but necessary for completeness will be considered incidental to the work and no separate or additional payment will be made.
