Sealed proposals endorsed “ADA Retrofit Restroom & Low-Energy Door Opener”, will be received at the Office of the City Clerk,151 Martin Street, PO Box 3001, Birmingham, Michigan, 48012; until 3:00 p.m., Tuesday February 3, 2009, after which time bids will be publicly opened and read. Bidders will be required to attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting on Tuesday January 20, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Birmingham Historical Museum Park’s Allen House, 556 W. Maple, Birmingham, MI 48009. Bidders must register for the pre-bid meeting by Monday January 19, 2009 (the museum’s office will be open on Martin Luther King Jr. Day) by contacting Bill McElhone at (248) 530-1682. The City of Birmingham, Michigan is accepting sealed bid proposals from qualified firms to furnish all labor, materials, and equipment required for the installation of ADA Retrofit Restroom & Low-Energy Door Opener for Birmingham Historical Museum & Park’s Allen House in accordance with the specifications contained in the Request For Proposals (RFP). ATTENTION: This is Federally Funded project. The Contractor and Subcontractors on this project must comply with HUD contract provision 24CFR part 85.36(i), the Davis-Bacon Act, Nondiscrimination, Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative Action, Section 3 requirements, Anti-Kickback Act, Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act and Department of Labor Standards and Regulations as set forth in the Contract Bid Documents.
