Summary of Specifications:
Sealed proposals endorsed "Barnum Park – Building and Site Demolition Project" will be received at the Department of Public Services Offices, 851 S. Eton Road, Birmingham, Michigan 48009 until 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 10, 2008 after which time no further bids will be accepted, and at which time the bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The project consists of abatement, demolition, removal and backfill of the existing building, including fixed equipment, foundations, basements and crawlspaces; demolition and removal of structures, site improvements including all paving and walks, and site utilities. One chimney stack and the east entrance to remain as indicated on drawings. Salvage 2300 square feet of brick from the 1929 building. Contract Documents prepared by M. C. There will be a MANDATORY pre-bid meeting on Thursday, March 27th, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. Contractors to meet at the Barnum Park site Main Entrance located at 746 Purdy Street, Birmingham, MI 48009. This is a mandatory meeting for General Contractors and Abatement Subcontractors.
