Summary of Specifications:
The City of Birmingham, Michigan, is requesting proposals from qualified bidders for the lease and operation of Bimingham Ice Sports Arena Pro Shop. Sealed proposals endorsed “Birmingham Ice Sports Arena Pro Shop Proposal, August 9, 2005” will be received at the office of the Department of Public Services, 851 S. Eton Road, Birmingham, Michigan 48009, until 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 9, 2005. After such time, no further bids will be accepted and the proposals received will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The proposal shall be for the lease and operation of a pro shop located inside of the Birmingham Ice Sports Arena for a lease term of five (5) years with a possibility of a five (5) year extension.
A pre bid meeting will be held for prospective bidders on Monday, August 1, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Birmingham Ice Sports Arena, which is located at 2300 East Lincoln, Birmingham, Michigan. The meeting will provide prospective bidders with an opportunity to ask questions regarding the Lease. Modifications of the Lease may result from this pre bid meeting. In the event that this occurs, correction pages will be mailed to all bidders reflecting such modifications.
Acceptance of any proposal made pursuant to this invitation shall not be binding upon the City until an agreement (see attachment A) has been signed by both parties and a written purchase order has been delivered to the successful bidder. The successful bidder will be required to execute the agreement as set forth in attachment A within 15 days of notification that they are the successful bidder. Should the successful fail to execute said contract, the City may award the contract to the next qualified bidder. All proposals shall specify terms and show completion dates. The Birmingham City Commission reserves the right to reject any or all proposals; to waive any informality or irregularity in the proposals received; and to accept any proposal which it shall deem to be most favorable to the interest of the City.
