Summary of Specifications:
Sealed proposals endorsed “Parks and City Property Lawn and Landscape Maintenance Services”, will be received at the Department of Public Services Office, 851 S. Eton Street, Birmingham, Michigan, 48009; until 2:00 pm Thursday, March 9, 2017 after which time bids will be publicly opened and read. The City of Birmingham, Michigan is accepting sealed bid proposals from qualified professional firms to provide lawn care and landscape services including the care of landscape beds in select parks and city properties, lawn care and mowing of several locations throughout the city, including Woodward Avenue Median landscape care. Additionally, the bid will include the mowing of private lots that have been determined by the department to be in violation of the City’s Grass and Noxious Weeds ordinance. A mandatory pre-bid meeting with a question and answer session will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Department of Public Services. Bidders must register for the pre-bid meeting by 5 pm Wednesday, February 22, 2017 by contacting Carrie Laird, 248-530-1714, or claird@bhamgov.org. This work must be performed as specified accordance with the specifications contained in the Request For Proposals (RFP). The RFP, including the Specifications, may be obtained online from the Michigan Inter-governmental Trade Network at http://www.mitn.info . The acceptance of any proposal made pursuant to this invitation shall not be binding upon the City until an agreement has been executed.
