REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
For 2019 SEWER ROOT CONTROL TREATMENT
Sealed proposals endorsed “2019 SEWER ROOT CONTROL TREATMENT”, will be
received at the Department of Public Services, 851 S. Eton, Birmingham, Michigan,
48009; until 2pm, August 13, 2019 after which time bids will be publicly opened and read.
The City of Birmingham, Michigan is accepting sealed bid proposals from qualified
professional firms to treat roots and other vegetation within city sewers through the
application of foaming herbicide. Specifically, the City seeks per-unit pricing for treating
sewers of various sizes; the scope of project will be determined based on bid pricing
received. This work must be performed as specified accordance with the specifications
contained in the Request For Proposals (RFP).
The RFP, including the Specifications, may be obtained online from the Michigan Intergovernmental
Trade Network at http://www.mitn.info
The acceptance of any proposal made pursuant to this invitation shall not be binding upon
the City until an agreement has been executed.
