Summary of Specifications:
The Department of Public Services will receive, at its offices at 851 South Eton Road, Birmingham, MI, sealed bids for Spring Tree Purchase until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at which time they will be publicly opened and read. Materials shall be in accordance with the specifications prepared by the Department of Public Services.
Information regarding the City of Birmingham’s bidding process and procedures, including specifications as to the size, type, quality and quantity of trees on which quotations are to be received may be obtained by going to www.govbids.com and click on the “MITN” link-bid opportunities. Alternate varieties may be bid provided they are of like species and growth habit. The trees are to be delivered to the Department of Public Services, 851 South Eton when optimum conditions permit. Forty-eight (48) hours notice is to be given to the Department of Public Services before delivery is made. Shipment must arrive Monday through Thursday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Delivery at other times may result in refusal of delivery or a labor charge for unloading.
