Summary of Specifications:
The City of Birmingham is pursuing the development of an urban design master plan for the area in Birmingham within the boundaries of Woodward Avenue, East Maple, and Adams Road.
The plan will address the area generally defined by Woodward Avenue to the west, East Maple to the north, and Adams Road to the east, hereafter referred to as the "study area" (See Appendix A). The areas surrounding the study area will also be addressed, in order to determine the impact and\or influence on the residentially zoned districts, downtown, and the Eton Road corridor, and connections between these areas.
The plan is envisioned to have two major sections. Under each of these sections are listed their respective master plan elements which require evaluation, data collection, analysis and recommendation. Some of the issues that need to be included are listed. Research shall be undertaken and finally the issues will be defined with public involvement to develop a coherent master plan for the district.
Any request for clarification of this RFP shall be made in writing and delivered to: Community Development Department, Planning Division, Attn: Jana L. Ecker, 151 Martin Street, Birmingham, MI 48012. Such request for clarification shall be delivered to the CDD, in writing, at least five (5) business days prior to the date for receipt of proposals.
