Summary of Specifications:
The City of Cadillac is accepting sealed bids for the 2010 Street Improvement Project.
DESCRIPTION: The work includes the following approximate quantities: Furnish and install approximately 575 tons HMA and 1000 linear feet of water main.
PROPOSAL GUARANTEE: Each proposal shall be accompanied by a cashier’s check, certified check, money order, or bid bond, payable to the owner, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal, as a proposal guarantee. Proposal guarantee of the bidders under consideration will be returned after approval of the contract by the owner. All others will be returned within 72 hours after the proposal opening.
CONTRACT SECURITY: The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond and labor and material bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract.

DOCUMENT DEPOSIT: A hard copy of contract documents may be obtained at the office of the City Engineer, 200 Lake Street, Cadillac, MI 49601 upon payment of $30.00 (thirty dollars) per set of plans and specifications. There will be no refund of deposit for returned contract documents.
OWNER’S RIGHTS: The owner reserves the right to accept any proposal, to reject any or all proposals, and to waive any irregularities in any proposal in the interest of the owner.
