Summary of Specifications:
The City of Cadillac (“the City”) is developing a program for a street and infrastructure replacement project throughout various parts of the City. The City intends to sell bonds to finance the projects, currently estimated to be up to $2.0 million. The City will be in need of engineering assistance to complete the final project programming, develop design plans and specifications, and provide construction administration, observation and testing services. It is currently anticipated that planning and design services will begin immediately and continue through 2017, and that construction will take place between 2016 and 2018.
The City is soliciting statements of qualifications from professional engineering firms experienced in the completion of planning, design and construction phase services for local street and infrastructure projects. It is anticipated that the project construction elements will include storm and sanitary sewer replacement, water main replacement, roadway rehabilitation or total reconstruction, and sidewalk replacement. In addition, engineering firms must be experienced with projects meeting all Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) specifications and requirements.
