2019-002 - RFP Legal Services City of Ecorse

The City of Ecorse will accept Request For Proposals (RFP) for a contractual City Attorney. The Attorney will provide legal counsel/guidance to City Council, City Administration and City Departments. The City Attorney is appointed by the City Council and is responsible for the performance of all legal duties in the operation of a city government. Attends all Council/committee meetings, monthly Planning Commission meetings and other meetings as necessary. Duties require the exercise of extensive independent judgement as the City’s ultimate legal authority. Reviews criminal and insurance related matters. Represents the City in Municipal District Court litigation and other legal matters in which the City may be involved.
