Summary of Specifications:
The City of Farmington Hills Fire Department requires the purchase of emergency responder driver training simulator. The purpose of this equipment is to teach emergency responders situation awareness and decision making skills in various types of vehicles. These specifications reference a specific brand in order to establish minimum acceptable standards. Such references are not intended to eliminate any manufacturer from the bidding process. Compliance with the “spirit of the specification” is not acceptable. Deviations shall be clearly called out in writing and explained either next to the specification or in an attachment to the bidder’s submitted proposal. Failure to follow these instructions may constitute grounds for elimination of the bidder’s proposal from consideration. Deviations may be permitted if determined to be in the best interest of the City.
