Summary of Specifications:
The City of Farmington Hills is accepting bids for a 2008 Ford F-550 three-yard dump truck or city-approved equivalent. The unit shall come equipped with a snow plow, tailgate spreader, spinner and all optional equipment awarded by the city. These specifications reference specific makes and models in order to establish a minimum acceptable standard. Such references are not intended to eliminate any manufacturer from the bidding process. Compliance with the “spirit of the specification” is not acceptable. Deviations shall be clearly called out in writing and explained either next to the specification or in an attachment to the bidder’s submitted proposal. Failure to follow these instructions may be cause for elimination of the bidder’s proposal from consideration. Deviations may be permitted if determined to be in the best interest of the City.
