The City of Ferndale Michigan is accepting bids for the purchase of lot 24-25-27-255-059, known as 2736 Horton, a vacant and buildable parcel subject to the R-3 Residential Multiple Family zoning district. Bids will be accepted no later than 12pm, December 30th. Questions will be accepted from October 4th at 7am to December 21st at 12pm.

Proposal Requirements

The successful bidder shall apply for and receive a building permit, compliant with allowed uses in R3 Multiple Family, within six (6) months from the date of purchase. Additionally, the successful bidder will have twelve (12) months from date of issuance of the building permit to obtain a Certificate of Occupancy. Failure to complete these requirements will constitute a failure to comply and fulfill bid criteria, and the parcel and all contained items and structures will revert to the City of Ferndale.

All bids must include the following information for consideration which City staff will use to evaluate all received proposals.

Timeline for development, milestones, and estimation of project completion
End use of property
Individual and/or company profile or resume.

City reserves the right to request additional information from any bidder. City reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

The highest acceptable bid will be recommended to the Mayor and City Council of Ferndale for consideration.
