The City of Garden City is accepting proposals for the
2018 MARQUETTE AVENUE CONCRETE SECTIONING PROGRAM (CRAIG AVENUE
TO VENOY ROAD)
in the City of Garden City, Wayne County, Michigan
The proposed project consists of the concrete sectioning of Marquette Avenue at sporadic locations between Craig Avenue and Venoy Road accounting for approximately 4,250 SYD of 8 inch concrete. The anticipated start date, weather permitting, is September 4, 2018 and substantially completed by October 25, 2018 with final completion by November 15, 2018.

The Contract Documents may be examined at the City of Garden City Clerk's Office, Garden City, Michigan, Hennessey Engineers, Inc., Southgate, Michigan, Construction Association of Michigan, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, Construction Journal LTD, Stuart, Florida and CDC News Construction Journal, Vero Beach, Florida.
Contract Documents will be available starting Tuesday, July 17, 2018 after 1:00pm and may be pruchased at: Hennessey Engineers, Inc., 13500 Reeck Road, Southgate, Michigan, 48195 upon payment of a fee of $25.00 per set, $35.00 if mailed (cash or check only), which is nonrefundable. Also, plans are now available on CD for a fee of $15.00 per CD or if mailed, $25.00.
Bidders must deposit, with their bid, surety in the form of a certified check, bank draft, or bid bond, in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal. The OWNER reserves the right to waive any information or to reject any/or all bids. Bidders may not withdraw their bid within 60 days after the date of bid opening.
The Contractor shall be aware that per the City of Garden City Ordinance No. 91-001, no less than the prevailing salaries and wages noted in the General Wage Decision (Federal Wage Determination) shall be paid on this Project.
