20-02_INK - Construction Inspection for John Daly street Improvements

This project may include, but is not limited to, construction of water main, sanitary and storm sewers,
curb/gutter, concrete sidewalks including ADA ramps and street reconstruction/concrete pavement. The project is located on a public roadway within the City limits. The inspection services provided shall
include daily inspection of all work for conformance to City of Inkster and MDOT construction
specifications as well as field and laboratory testing of aggregates, density, and concrete. The inspector shall work directly with the City Engineering Consultant, Alfred Benesch & Company (the Engineer), for daily task assignments and construction inspection reporting. The inspector shall submit Inspector’s Daily Reports (IDRs) documenting contractor’s construction activities, quantities, and any contract variances and deficiencies.

The project will be inspected on a full-time basis at approximately 50 hours per week, though evenings
and weekends may be required. The City may also request multiple inspectors for the project as needed based on the construction activities. The Successful Bidder shall submit billing reports bi-weekly indicating hours and person(s) performing work. Payments will be monthly.
