Sealed proposals for 2016 CDBG Local Street Reconstruction will be received by the City of Jackson Purchasing Agent, 161 W. Michigan Avenue, 10th Floor, Jackson, Michigan, until Thursday, April 28, 2016,10:00 AM.
The work includes the following partial listing of items with approximate quantities: 0.15 miles of local street reconstruction and water main replacement on Edward Avenue and Winthrop Avenue with the following major work items and quantities: Aggregate Base, 8 inch - 3562 syd, HMA, 13A - 1214 tons, Curb and Gutter, Conc, Det FY - 2037 ft, Sidewalk, Conc, 6 inch - 1197 sft; Water Main, 8 inch - 892 ft, and Water Main, 8 inch, Dir Bore - 830 ft.

Prospective bidders are invited to attend a pre-bid meeting on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 10:00 AM, Purchasing Department, 10th Floor, 161 W. Michigan Ave., Jackson, MI 49201 . Any questions concerning contract documents or specifications will be addressed at this meeting. This will give companies contemplating submitting a bid a chance to examine the locations of the proposed service/goods and receive interpretations of the contract documents.
Bidders will be required to meet the City of Jackson's prequalification requirements prior to bid opening. Bidders must be prequalified for Streets (A) and Water Main (I).
