The City of Jackson will receive sealed bids for the 2025 DPW COMPLETE DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM MATERIALS INVENTORY (CDSMI) project until 9:00:00 AM local time on MONDAY, JULY 22, 2024 at the offices of the Purchasing Department, 161 W. Michigan Avenue, 8th Floor, Jackson, Michigan.
The work includes the following partial listing of items with approximate quantities:
CONTRACTOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR HYDRO EXCAVATING A MINIMUM OF 18 INCHES, ON EACH SIDE OF CITY'S CURBSTOP, TO PHOTOGRAPH AND DOCUMENT THE WATER SERVICE LINE AND INTERIOR MATERIAL. CONTRACTOR WILL ALSO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PHOTOGRAPHING AND DOCUMENTING THE MATERIAL INSIDE THE HOME, BEFORE THE CITY'S WATER METER. CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL RESTORATION WORK IN YARDS TO BACKFILL HOLES WITH SAND AND TOPSOIL WITH ADDING GRASS SEED ON SURFACE. CONCRETE WILL NOT BE DISTURBED. THIS WILL BE A LUMP SUM BID BASED ON 375 PROPERTIES LISTED ON A SPREADSHEET SUPPLIED UPON AWARD AND SHOULD ALSO CONTAIN A UNIT PRICE FOR ADDITIONAL HOMES, IF NEEDED.
