The City of Jackson will receive sealed bids for the 23-04A BLAKELY AVENUE RECONSTRUCTION ELM TO PLEASANT project until 10:00:00 AM local time on THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2023 at the offices of the Purchasing Department, 161 W. Michigan Avenue, 10th Floor, Jackson, Michigan.
The work includes the following partial listing of items with approximate quantities:
0.12 miles of full depth pavement reconstruction with associated concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk and sidewalk ramp construction and sanitary sewer and water main replacements on Blakely Avenue from Elm Avenue to Pleasant Street in the City of Jackson, Jackson County, Michigan. Major bid items include: Roadway Granding, Special - 6.5 Sta, Aggregate Base, 8 inch, 21AA, Modified - 2,519 syd, HMA, 13A - 432 tons, Curb and Gutter, Conc, Det F4 - 954 feet, Water Main, 8 inch - 699 ft, Sanitary Sewer, SDR26 PVC, 15 inch - 520 ft.

Any questions concerning contract documents or specifications will be addressed at this meeting. This will give companies contemplating submitting a bid a chance to examine the locations of the proposed service/goods and receive interpretations of the contract documents.
Bidders will be required to meet the City of Jackson's prequalification requirements prior to bid opening. Bidders must be prequalified for Streets (A) and Wate Main (I).
