The City of Jackson will receive sealed bids for the DRINKING WATER STATE REVOLVING FUND (DWSRF) FY 2023 IMPROVEMENTS project until 1:00:00 PM local time on TUESDAY, MAY 2, 2023 at the offices of the Purchasing Department, 161 W. Michigan Avenue, 10th Floor, Jackson, Michigan. Bids will be publicly opened at 2:00 PM.
The work includes the following partial listing of items with approximate quantities:
1.Furnishing and installation of tank mixers at the City’s elevated tanks.
2.Furnishing and installation of a return flow meter in the basement of the treatment plant.
3.Replacement of the lime and soda ash fill lines.
4.Modification of drain piping to separate the sanitary system from the floor drains in the basement of the plant.
5.Installation of soft starters on the City’s well pump motors.
Bidders may obtain packets containing Instructions to Bidders, Proposal Forms, Specifications and Contract Forms from the city’s website at http://www.cityofjackson.org/rfq.
Prospective bidders are invited to attend a pre-bid meeting on TUESDAY, APRIL 18, 2023 at 10:00:00 AM, JACKSON WATER TREATMENT PLANT, 740 E. MANSION STREET, JACKSON, MI 49203.
Any questions concerning contract documents or specifications will be addressed at this meeting. This will give companies contemplating submitting a bid a chance to examine the locations of the proposed service/goods and receive interpretations of the contract documents.
