Summary of Specifications:
Sealed proposals for Downtown Sidewalks and Parking Lot Snow Removal and Police Department Sidewalk and Parking Lot will be received by the City of Jackson Purchasing Agent, 161 W. Michigan Avenue, 10th Floor, Jackson, Michigan, until Wednesday, October 26, 2016, 10:00 AM.
The work includes the following partial listing of items with approximate quantities: Snow removal and ice control from approximately 13,000 total lineal feet of downtown sidewalk and 11 city-owned parking lots. Snow removal and ice control at the Jackson Police Department.
Bidders may obtain packets containing Instructions to Bidders, Proposal Forms, Specifications and Contract Forms at the Purchasing Department, 10th Floor, 161 W. Michigan Avenue, Jackson, Michigan 49201, Telephone (517) 788-4020 or from the city’s website at http://www.cityofjackson.org/rfq.
Prospective bidders are required to attend a MANDATORY pre-bid meeting on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 10:00 AM, Purchasing Department, 10th Floor, 161 W. Michigan Ave., Jackson, MI 49201. Awarded contractor must have $1,000,000 general liability insurance (city additional insured), $1,000,000 automobile liability insurance, worker's compensation insurance and provide a performance bond in 100% off the contract price.
Any questions concerning contract documents or specifications will be addressed at this meeting. This will give companies contemplating submitting a bid a chance to examine the locations of the proposed service/goods and receive interpretations of the contract documents.
