Sealed proposals for ENG 20-05 CDBG STREET RECONSTRUCTION will be received
by the City of Jackson Purchasing Agent, 161 W. Michigan Avenue, 10th Floor, Jackson,
Michigan, WEDNESDAY, JULY 1, 2020 until 9:00 AM.
The work includes the following partial listing of items with approximate quantities:
Approximately 0.5 miles of street reconstruction including water main and full depth
pavement replacement with low level decorative street light installation on Clinton Street
from the west dead end to Glick Hwy, on Third Street from Washington to Michigan and
on Washington Avenue from Fourth Street to First Street in the City of Jackson, Michigan.
Major items include: HMA 13A = 1,717 tons; concrete sidewalk = 13,670 sft; concrete
curb and gutter = 2,612 ft; concrete base for light pole, 66 inch = 26 each; decorative light,
install = 26 each; water main, 8 inch = 887 ft; water main, dir bore, 8 inch = 1,984 ft, water
services = 40
Bidders may obtain packets containing Instructions to Bidders, Proposal Forms,
Specifications and Contract Forms from the city’s website at

No prebid will be held. Contractor's can direct their questions to Shelly Allard at

Bids are to be submitted via email to sallard@cityofjackson.org. Original bid documents
are to sent via USPS for delivery after the bid opening. Bids will be opened at 10:00 AM.
A Zoom meeting invitation will be sent to the email that has submitted your bid.
Bidders will be required to meet the City of Jackson's prequalification requirements
prior to bid opening. Bidders must be prequalified for Streets (A) and Water Main
(I).
