Sealed proposals for ENG 20-04 AS-NEEDED LEAD SERVICE LINE REPLACEMENTS will be received by the City of Jackson Purchasing Agent, 161 W. Michigan Avenue, 10th Floor, Jackson, Michigan, TUESDAY, AUGUST 11, 2020 until 9:00 AM.
The work includes the following partial listing of items with approximate quantities:
Work provides for the replacement of 10 lead service lines from the water main in the public right-of-way to the meter on the building interior on an as-needed basis. Major items include: a)traffic control, b) pavement removals, c) copper service pipe and associated fittings, corporations, valves and appurtenances, d) electrical and plumbing permitting and associated work, e) pavement, curb, sidewalk, driveway and turf restoration and f) traffic control.
Bidders may obtain packets containing Instructions to Bidders, Proposal Forms, Specifications and Contract Forms from the city’s website at http://www.cityofjackson.org/rfq.
No prebid will be held. Contractor's can direct their questions to Shelly Allard at sallard@cityofjackson.org. Bids are to be submitted via email to sallard@cityofjackson.org.
Original bid documents are to sent via USPS for delivery after the bid opening.
Bids will be opened at 10:00 AM. A Zoom meeting invitation will be sent to the email that has submitted your bid.
Bidders will be required to meet the City of Jackson's prequalification requirements prior to bid opening. Bidders must be prequalified for Watermain (I).
