The City of Jackson will receive sealed bids for the MLK EQUALITY TRAIL RECONSTRUCTION FROM WEST AVENUE TO PROSPECT STREET project until 9:00:00 AM local time on WEDNESDAY, MAY 24, 2023 at the offices of the Purchasing Department, 161 W. Michigan Avenue, 10th Floor, Jackson, Michigan. Bids will be publicly opened at 10:00 AM.
The work includes the following partial listing of items with approximate quantities:
0.65 MILES OF NON-MOTORIZED TRAIL RECONSTRUCTION WITH CONCRETE PAVEMENT ALONG THE MLK EQUALITY TRAIL BETWEEN WEST AVENUE AND PROSPECT STREET IN THE CITY OF JACKSON, JACKSON COUNTY, MICHIGAN. MAJOR BID ITEMS INCLUDE: CLEARING - 1.44 ACRES, HMA SURFACE, REM, MODIFIED - 3,076 SYD, AGGREGATE BASE, 6 INCH, 21AA, MODIFIED - 4,480 SYD, SHARED USE PATH, CONC - 4,544 SYD, SHARED USE PATH GRADING - 3,359 FEET, TURF ESTABLISHMENT, PERFORMANCE - 11,510 SYD.
Bidders may obtain packets containing Instructions to Bidders, Proposal Forms, Specifications and Contract Forms from the city’s website at http://www.cityofjackson.org/rfq.
No prebid will be held. Contractor's can direct their questions to Shelly Allard at sallard@cityofjackson.org.
Any questions concerning contract documents or specifications will be addressed at this meeting. This will give companies contemplating submitting a bid a chance to examine the locations of the proposed service/goods and receive interpretations of the contract documents.
Bidders will be required to meet the City of Jackson's prequalification requirements prior to bid opening. Bidders must be prequalified for Streets (A).
