Sealed proposals for City of Jackson Water Treatment Plant - Pipe Gallery Dehumification will be received by the City of Jackson Purchasing Agent, 161 W. Michigan Avenue, 10th Floor, Jackson, Michigan, THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 2020 until 9:00:00 AM.
The work includes the following partial listing of items with approximate quantities:
A new mechanical dehumidification unit mounted on grade near the existing pipe gallery with supply and return ductwork. Dehumidification unit shall use DX cooling for dehumidification and electric heating. The unit shall be mounted on a new concrete pad. Exterior ductwork shall be supported from structure and new concrete shall be poured beneath the duct path. Unit power shall be provided from existing plant electrical panels. Controls for new unit shall be stand-alone from contractor provided control panel.
The pipe gallery shall be segregated from the rest of the plant by providing new walls at all entrances to the pipe gallery. Additional improvements such as doors and pump removal hatches shall also be provided to improve the moisture impermanence of the pipe gallery.
