Generator Replacements
The City of Livonia is requesting proposals for the Generator Replacements at Fire Station #3, #6, and Department of Public Works.
The City of Livonia seeks proposals for the following:
Installing a new exterior generator with concrete pad and bollards and a concrete pad mounted exterior ATS adjacent to the Building Maintenance building at the Department of Public Works. Demolition of the existing exterior generator and installing a new exterior generator, concrete pad, exterior ATS on concrete pad, and a masonry block screen wall with metal security gate and door with electronic lock at Fire Station #3. Demolition of the existing exterior generator, concrete pad, and wooden slat screen wall and installing a new exterior generator, concrete pad, exterior ATS on concrete pad, and a masonry block screen wall with metal security gate and door with electronic lock at Fire Station #6. https://www.bidnetdirect.com/mitn.
Electronic proposals will be received through the Michigan Inter-Governmental Trade Network (MITN) Purchasing Group at https://www.bidnetdirect.com/mitn until 2:00 P.M., local time, on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. There will be a pre-bid meeting and site walk-thru held at 10:00 A.M. on July 23, 2024 at the Livonia Fire Station #6, 37876 Plymouth Rd, Livonia, MI 48150. Prospective bidders must be in attendance at the pre-bid meeting in order to be eligible. Pre-bid meeting minutes will be distributed as an addendum to the contract documents to all parties in attendance.
Bidders are to submit questions in writing to the attention of Gus Kandah, Purchasing Manager at gkandah@livonia.gov. No phone calls will be accepted.
Proposals submitted by Bidders who have been debarred, suspended, or made ineligible by any Federal Agency will be rejected.
Each bidder agrees to waive any claim it has or may have against the Owner, the Architect, and their respective employees, arising out of or in connection with the administration, evaluations, or recommendation of any bid.
Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the proposal, payable to the City of Livonia, as security for the acceptance of the contract. A bid
bond on the Michigan Standard Form, issued by an approved Surety Company, may be furnished. Bidder’s wishing to submit their bid security in a cashier’s check shall include a photograph of the check with their bid proposal. The City will make arrangements to collect bid securities after the bid opening.
All bids shall be opened publicly at the date and time specified. Each bid shall be recorded together with the name of the bidder. Bids shall be in accordance with the requirements of this notice in order to be deemed “responsive.” Bids received via the MITN website by the specified due date and time will be publicly opened at the due date and time via Zoom. No bidder may withdraw his proposal within one hundred twenty (120) calendar days after the date set for opening thereof. The right to accept any bid, to reject any or all proposals and to waive irregularities in bidding is reserved by the City of Livonia. Portions of this Contract may be deleted due to unforeseen circumstances without compensation. Acceptance of any bid does not constitute a binding agreement until a written Contract is signed by both parties.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance, Labor and Material, and Maintenance and Guarantee Bonds.
