2025 TREE TRIMMING PROGRAM

The City of Livonia Michigan will receive sealed bids VIA THE MITN WEBSITE ONLY (WWW.MITN.INFO) according the scope of work herein until 2:00 p.m., NOVEMBER 19, 2024. PHYSICAL BID SUBMISSION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

A public bid opening will be conducted online only via ZOOM on November 19, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. local time. Interested parties may attend virtually by phone or computer.

Pricing recorded during the online bid opening will be posted to the MITN website. The bid opening figures posted do not represent an intent to award. The City will go through its normal evaluation process and present a contract to City Council for consideration. Vendor’s should make no assumption as to award of contract. Official notice of award will be posted to the MITN website upon City Council approval.

The trimming of approximately 6,378 trees within the public right-of-ways. Contract is for one year (2025) with an optional, mutually agreed upon two-year extension (2026-2027) of 3,126 trees.

Each proposal shall be accompanied by bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the proposal, payable to the City of Livonia, as security for the acceptance of the contract. A Bid Bond in the Michigan standard form issued by an approved surety company may be furnished.

The City reserves the right to reject in or in part any and all bids received, to waive any irregularities or informalities or both; as it is determined to be in the best interests of the City of Livonia to do so.

A mandatory pre-bid inspection meeting to explain the project and answer any questions will be held at 10:00 a.m. on October 30, 2024. Prospective bidders should meet in the Main Conference Room of the Livonia DPW (12973 Farmington Road).

All questions receive by November 12, 2024 will be responded to in writing in the form of an addendum which will be posted on 1MITN website. No phone calls will be accepted. All inquiries regarding this solicitation shall be submitted to the Purchasing Manager.
