Electronic proposals for the construction of the Senior Center Roof Improvements Project must be received by the City of Livonia by 2:00 p.m., Local Time on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, through the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN) Purchasing Group site, www.MITN.info , at which time the bids will be opened and reviewed. No physical bid submission will be accepted, and late bids will not be considered. Bids must be submitted in Adobe Acrobat PDF format on forms contained herein. There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting to be held at 10:00 am on Monday,
Bidders are to submit any questions through the bidding portal on the MITN Purchasing Group site by 2:00pm.
Friday, May 27th, 2022. Bidders shall submit all questions in writing to the Purchasing Manager, Enna A. Bachelor, via email at ebachelor@livonia.gov. Questions must be submitted no later than 2:00 p.m. on May 27, 2022. The City does not guarantee a response to questions received after the deadline has passed.
The Contracts will consist of the following principal items of work and appurtenances as specified herein and shown on the Contract Drawings.
Description of Work
Project consists of roofing over one of the existing roof areas at the building, located at the Livonia Senior Center at 15218 Farmington Rd. in Livonia, MI.
Plans and Specifications will only be available online at the Michigan Inter-governmental Trade
Network (MITN) Purchasing Group site, www.MITN.info beginning Monday, May 16, 2022. Hard
copies of Plans and Specifications will not be available for purchase. The Bidder is advised that in order tosubmit a bid on this project, the Bidder must download and complete the Proposal Form (Section 00300) and include the required Municipal references and a scanned copy of their bid deposit with their electronic bid submission. The original bid deposit for the low bidder will be required to be submitted to the City following the bid letting. Proposals submitted by Bidders who have been debarred, suspended, or made ineligible by any Federal Agency will be rejected. Each bidder agrees to waive any claim it has or may have against the Owner, the Architect/Engineer, and their respective employees, arising out of or in connection with the administration, evaluation, or recommendation of any bid.
Each bid proposal shall be submitted on the proposal forms provided and shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond, executed by the bidder and Surety Company, payable to the City of Livonia in the amount of Five Percent (5%) of the accompanying bid. Proposal Guarantee shall provide assurance thatthe bidder will, upon acceptance of the bid, execute the necessary Contract with the City of Livonia.
