ABANDONED PROPERTY MOWING 2024
The City of Livonia Michigan will receive sealed bids via the MITN WEBSITE ONLY
(www.mitn.info) for ABANDONED PROPERTY MOWING according to the specifications
herein. Sealed bids will be received until 2:00 p.m., on APRIL 2, 2024. No faxed bids will be
accepted. No late bids will be accepted. No physical bids will be accepted. All bid responses
must be submitted in Adobe Acrobat PDF format via the MITN website. BIDS MUST BE
SUBMITTED ON CITY OF LIVONIA FORMS.
Bids received via the MITN website by the specified due date and time will be publicly opened
at the due date and time via Zoom. Vendors may attend the bid opening virtually by using the

The City reserves the right to reject in or in part any and all bids received, to waive any
irregularities or informalities or both; as it is determined to be in the best interests of the City of
Livonia to do so.
The City of Livonia officially distributes bid documents through the Michigan Intergovernmental
Trade Network (BidNet). Bid documents obtained from any other source are not
considered official copies. The City of Livonia cannot guarantee the accuracy of any
information not obtained from the MITN website and is not responsible for any errors contained
by any information received from alternate sources. Only those firms who obtain the RFB
documents from the MITN system are guaranteed access to receive addendum information, if
such information is issued. If you obtained this document from a source other than the source
indicated, it is recommended that you register on the MITN site, www.mitn.info and obtain an
official copy.
A MANDATORY pre-bid meeting to explain the project and answer any questions will be
held on FRIDAY, MARCH 15, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. Prospective bidders should meet in the
Conference Room of the Inspection Department, 33000 Civic Center Drive. Bids will not be
considered from firms who do not attend the mandatory prebid.

Each proposal shall be accompanied by bid security in form of bond the amount of $500.00 as
security for the acceptance of the contract. A Bid Bond in the Michigan standard form issued
by an approved surety company must be submitted. A cashier’s check made payable to the
City of Livonia may be provided in lieu of a bid bond. Vendors shall take a picture of the
cashier’s check and include it with their bid response. Arrangements will be made to secure
the check after the bid due date.
No bidder may withdraw his proposal within sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening
thereof. The City reserves the right to reject or accept any or all proposals in whole or in part
and waive any irregularities therein.

Questions regarding the Request for Bid must be submitted in writing to the attention of Gus
Kandah, Purchasing Manager, via email at: gkandah@livonia.gov. All questions received by
March 28, 2024. will be responded to in writing in the form of an addendum which will be
posted on the MITN website. No phone calls will be accepted. All inquiries regarding this
solicitation shall be submitted to the Purchasing Manager.
