The City of Melvindale 2024 DWSRF Project # DW-7750A consists of 2 Projects. Projects selected to be constructed will be selected after bids are opened. All projects will be bid as one package under one contract, with plans for each project and one overall spec book. The award will be made to the lowest Contract Total (total cost of both projects). The anticipated start date, weather permitting, is April 7, 2025 and substantially completed by December 12, 2025 with final completion by December 30, 2025.
The proposed Allen Road Water Main Replacement project consists of approximately 4,350 linear feet of 12” water main and 5,050 linear feet of 16” water main to replace existing water mains along Allen Road between Outer Drive and Greenfield Road, within the City of Melvindale
The proposed Flora Street Water Main Replacement project consists of approximately 2,070 linear feet of 8” water main to replace existing water mains along Flora Street between Rose Street and Oakwood Boulevard, within the City of Melvindale.
All Requests for Information (RFI) are due by Thursday, October 31, 2024, by 4:00 pm (EST), and shall be directed to Nick Yuvan by email at nryuvan@hengineers.com.
Responses to RFI’s will be returned by Tuesday, November 5, 2024, by 4:00 pm (EST).

Bidders must deposit, with their bid, surety in the form of a certified check, bank draft, or bid bond, in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal. The OWNER reserves the right to waive any information or to reject any and/or all bids. Bidders may not withdraw their bid within 90 days after the date of bid opened.
