Sealed proposals for:
LAWN MAINTENANCE CONTRACT – 2019-2021 SEASONS
will be received by the City Clerk-Treasurer in the City Hall at 120 East First Street, Loranger Square, Monroe, Michigan 48161, until10:00 A.M., LOCAL TIME, Monday, the 18th day of March , 20 19 . The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud by the City Clerk at 10:00 A.M., LOCAL TIME, the same day, in the City Council Chambers.
BID WORK ITEMS INCLUDE:
Work Group B: Woodland Cemetery and Memorial Place (Weekly Maintenance)
Work Group F: Ordinance Mowing (As Needed and Directed)
The Proposal and Contract Documents, including plans and specifications, may be obtained from the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN) / Bid Net Direct at https://www.bidnetdirect.com/mitn.
The City of Monroe reserves the right to accept any proposal, to reject any proposal or to waive defects in proposals. A bid bond or certified check made payable to the City of Monroe in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid must be deposited by each bidder with his / her bid.
There is a MANDATORY pre-bid meeting that will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2019 starting at 10:00 A.M. at the First Floor Conference Room at Monroe City Hall, 120 East First Street (check in at Engineering or Public Services Department). Bids will be rejected from bidders not represented at this meeting. Bidders should familiarize themselves with these specifications and the work locations and activities prior to submission of bids, and if there are any questions, they should be raised at the pre-bid meeting. Should it be necessary, a contract addendum will be posted on MITN no later than 4:30 P.M., Wednesday, March 13, 2019. Deadline for all questions is Friday, March 8, 2019 at 4:30 P.M. No questions regarding this contract will be answered verbally, and any should be directed to Patrick M. Lewis, P.E., at Patrick.lewis@monroemi.gov. The City of Monroe reserves the right to accept any proposal, to reject any proposal or to waive defects in proposals, and given that the work is split into two (2) work groups, may award by work group or combined in its sole best interest.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within SIXTY (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof, but may withdraw it at any time prior to the scheduled closing time for receipts of bids.
