The City Clerk of Monroe, Michigan will receive electronic proposals until 10:00 a.m. (local time), on Monday, June 8, 2020, for 2020 LEAF BAGS, through the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN) online bidding website. The bids will be publicly unlocked from the MITN website with bid total and other pertinent information read aloud via Zoom teleconference at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 8, 2020. Anyone that would like to participate in the bid opening must send a request email to edward.sell@monroemi.gov to receive an email invitation to the opening.
The bid request is for the following:
- TYPE: PSOS Paper, self-opening style
- SIZE: 16”x12”x35”, 30-gallon capacity
- CONSTRUCTION: 2-ply, 50 pound Natural Kraft Wet Strength Paper
- PACKAGING: 5 bags per double-strapped package, shipped on pallets
- DELIVERY: Must be delivered to the Department of Public Services, 222 Jones Avenue, Monroe, MI no earlier than July 27, 2020 and no later than September 11, 2020. Bidders should bid per bag for a total of 72,000 bags.
- Imprint “CITY OF MONROE” on one line with “2020” below in either red, green, blue, or black lettering, minimum 2” letter height, for printing, per bag, 72,000 bags
Any questions on this contract / bid documents should be asked on the MITN site no later than June 1, to provide adequate time for preparation of an Addendum, if necessary.
Bidders should note that City offices are presently closed to the public due to the COVID-19 outbreak with a planned reopening date at this time of June 8, therefore bidders should expect that any other necessary correspondence must be via email.
A Bid Bond, cashier’s check, certified check or money order in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of your estimated total cost must accompany your bid. The bond must be from a company authorized to do business in the State of Michigan. Company and personal checks are not acceptable. Please upload a copy of the bid bond through MITN.
The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality, to modify quantities and to make award in the best interest of the City.
