The City of Monroe is soliciting proposals from vendors to perform initial investigation and present one or more repair alternatives that will return the courts to conditions suitable for competitive play for multiple seasons, including at a minimum, repair of all cracks and other surface irregularities, patching of any raised or depressed areas to leave them flush with the surrounding court surfaces, and painting of applicable court lines. Options for milling and resurfacing (1-1/2” minimum) and / or other more robust surface treatments are encouraged and will be considered in addition to the above repair treatments. Due to the possible range of repair products, work methods, and price points that may be available to reach the City’s desired objective, conventional sealed bids are not being sought at this time, as the City intends to award a contract in its sole best interest after review of all available options. Proposals will be accepted from single vendors or teams, and multiple proposals may be presented by each project team.
Proposal submission shall be electronic only, and shall be submitted via the MITN site no later than 10:00 A.M. on Monday, May 15. The bids will be publicly unlocked from the MITN web site with the acknowledgement of the submitting vendors read aloud at 11:00 A.M. the same day via Zoom teleconference. Due to the large range of possible options, proposal pricing will not be read. Bidders desiring to attend this opening should email edward.sell@monroemi.gov no later than Wednesday, May 10 to obtain the meeting link.
