Summary of Specifications:
The City of Monroe (here-in-after City), River Raisin National Battlefield Park Foundation (here-in-after Foundation) and National Park Service, through the River Raisin National Battlefield Park (here-in-after Battlefield), requires the performance of research and writing of a Cooperative Land Management Plan for River Raisin National Battlefield Park and the political subdivisions that include lands identified to be preserved in Monroe County and Wayne County, Michigan. The plan will help ensure the proper protection, development, use and management of significant lands relating to the Battles of the River Raisin and their Aftermath. Plan development must include public engagement strategies that facilitate active and meaningful collaboration with officials and the general public in each of the political subdivisions identified as collaborative management shareholders, as well as private parties planning or considering future development in identified battlefield areas. The information that will be compiled in the Cooperative Land Management Plan is essential for present and future education, preservation, use management and resource management. The study and resulting plan shall conform to professional standards regarding methodology of research and writing. Stylistic, bibliographical, and report production standards shall conform to the current edition of the Chicago Manual of Style. The Cooperative Land Management Plan, including enumerated appendices, maps, index, and supporting records outlined within this scope of work, shall be completed within six months (6 months) from the date of contract award.
