BID ADVERTISEMENT – CITY OF MONROE BULK ROCK SALT
The City Clerk of Monroe, Michigan will receive electronic proposals until 10:00 a.m. (local time), on Monday, September 11, 2023, for 2023-26 BULK ROCK SALT, through the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN) online bidding website. The bids will be publicly unlocked from the MITN website with bid total and other pertinent information read aloud via Zoom teleconference at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 11, 2023. Anyone that would like to participate in the bid opening must send a request email to edward.sell@monroemi.gov to receive an email invitation to the opening.
The bid request is for the following:
BULK ROCK SALT, anti-caking, cc or #1 grade, for highway ice melting, 1,800 tons (+ or -) including delivery to 222 Jones Ave, Monroe, MI, in accordance with State of Michigan Department of Transportation specifications. It is agreed that the bid prices contained herewith are firm for a minimum of sixty (60) days from the date of bid opening, and once awarded, the pricing quoted will be valid through the end of the year indicated.
- Year 1: 10/1/23 - 6/30/24
- Year 2: 7/1/24 - 6/30/25
- Year 3: 7/1/25 - 6/30/26
Any questions on this contract / bid documents should be asked on the MITN site no later than September 1, 2023, to provide adequate time for preparation of an Addendum, if necessary.
A Bid Bond, cashier’s check, certified check or money order in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of your estimated total cost must accompany your bid. The bond must be from a company authorized to do business in the State of Michigan. Company and personal checks are not acceptable. Please upload a copy of the bid bond through MITN.
The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality, to modify quantities and to make award in the best interest of the City.
