Sealed proposals for the construction of:
CITY OF MONROE STREET TREE REMOVAL
will be received, through electronic submission to the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN) until 10:00 A.M., LOCAL TIME, Monday the 25th day of October, 2021. The bids will be publicly unlocked from the MITN web site with bid total and other pertinent information read aloud at 11:00 A.M. the same day via Zoom teleconference. Bidders desiring to attend this opening should email edward.sell@monroemi.gov no later than Wednesday, October 20 to obtain the meeting link. This contract shall consist of removal of various street trees within the City limits, including branches, trunks, and stumps to within six inches (6”) of ground surface. The City is bidding a large number of trees and intends to award a contract for removal of as many as possible given budgetary limitations, but reserves the right to award only a portion of the contract work in its sole discretion.

Any questions on this contract / bid documents should be asked in writing (email) no later than Monday, October 18, 2021 at 4:30 P.M., to provide adequate time for preparation of an Addendum, if necessary. Should an addendum be necessary, this is intended for publication by the close of business on Thursday, October 21, 2021.
The City of Monroe reserves the right to accept any proposal, to reject any proposal or to waive defects in proposals. A bid bond or certified check made payable to the City of Monroe in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid must be posted by each bidder with his / her bid. No bidder may withdraw his bid within SIXTY (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof, but may withdraw it at any time prior to the scheduled closing time for receipts of bids.
