Sealed proposals for the construction of:
FATHER CAIRNS PARK IMPROVEMENTS
will be received, through electronic submission, to the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network
(MITN) until 10:00 A.M., LOCAL TIME, Monday the 24th day of October, 2022. The bids will be
publicly unlocked from the MITN web site with bid total and other pertinent information read aloud at
11:00 A.M. the same day via Zoom teleconference. Bidders desiring to attend this opening should email
edward.sell@monroemi.gov no later than Wednesday, October 19, 2022 to obtain the meeting link. This
project consists of a complete renovation of the Father Cairns Park area including demolition, soil
erosion control, tree protection, earthwork, storm sewer, water service to water feature, building and
irrigation system, new electrical service for water feature, restroom / maintenance building, new
electrical service, interior pickleball lighting, curb and gutter, asphalt paving and markings, concrete
paving, pickleball courts, tennis courts, sand volleyball court, site furniture, landscape and irrigation,
and other related and incidental work. Miscellaneous coordination with water feature vendor (Vortex)
and playground and site furniture vendor (Penchura) is required. Coordination includes DTE Energy for
the removal and relocation of power poles and service and installation of new light fixtures, footings,
and service. The City of Monroe Water Department will install a new service for the proposed building,
irrigation system, water feature and hydrants.
