Summary of Specifications:
The City of Monroe Multi-Sports Complex has used field turf/carpet available for sale. The turf was purchased in 1998 and has seen minimal use. It is currently in storage in rolls at the Multi-Sports Complex and will be displayed that way. The turf currently in use is not for sale. Approximately 17,000 square feet is available. Any proposal will be considered including proposals to purchase only a portion of available turf. The purchaser must pay for and haul away the purchased turf within 30 days of notice of award. The field turf will be available for viewing at the Multi-Sports Complex, 333 N. Dixie Highway, Monroe, MI on May 21, 2016 and June 4, 2016. The turf can also be viewed by appointment by calling 734-242-1300. Please seal your proposal, mark on it “MMSC Field Turf Proposal-due June 6, 2016”, and deliver it to Michelle LaVoy, City of Monroe Clerk/Treasurer, 120 East 1st Street, Monroe, MI 48161. No specific form of proposal is required. Proposals will be opened on June 6, 2016 and City Council award of the sale is expected on June 20, 2016. The City reserves the right to reject and/or accept any proposal and to do what is in the best interest of the City of Monroe.
