Sealed proposals for the construction of:
MONROE STREET WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT
will be received by the City Clerk-Treasurer in the City Hall at 120 East First Street, Monroe, Michigan 48161, until 10:00 A.M., LOCAL TIME, Thursday the 5th day of September , 20 13. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud by the City Clerk at 10:00 A.M., LOCAL TIME, the same day, in the City Clerk-Treasurer's Office.
MAJOR QUANTITIES INCLUDE: F & I 8” Ductile Iron Class 52 Polywrapped Water Main 673.0 LFT F & I 12” Ductile Iron Class 52 Polywrapped Water Main 224.0 LFT F & I 12” Gate Valve & Box 6.0 EACH F & I Controlled Density Backfill 225.0 CYD F & I 11-1/2” Concrete Pavement 265.0 SYD The Proposal and Contract Documents, including plans and specifications, are on file and may be examined at the office of the City Engineer, 120 East First Street, Monroe, Michigan 48161. Copies thereof can be obtained from the Engineering Department of the City of Monroe by making a deposit of FIFTY DOLLARS ($ 50.00 ) for each set of plans and specifications. IF PLANS ARE TO BE MAILED, ADD FIVE DOLLARS ($5.00). TWENTY-FIVE dollars ($ 25.00 ) will be refunded for each set of documents returned in good condition (unmarked) within thirty (30) days after the bidding date. The full amount of the deposit will be refunded to each bidder for only the one set of documents upon which a bona fide proposal is submitted to the Owner.
