The City of Monroe is soliciting proposals from vendors to perform initial investigation and present one or more alternatives that will return the field fencing to conditions suitable for competitive play for multiple seasons and to ensure the perimeter fencing is installed to meet all specifications and goals of its intent. Due to the possible range of products, work methods, and price points that may be available to reach the City’s desired objective, conventional sealed bids are not being sought at this time, as the City intends to award a contract in its sole best interest after review of all available options. Proposals will be accepted from single vendors or teams, and multiple proposals may be presented by each project team. This request has been placed on the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN), and all clarifications or changes will be posted on that site as well. The City has a maximum amount of $30,000 in funding available to complete all work, though vendors should feel free to submit proposals for higher amounts if they believe that the budgeted funding is insufficient to properly complete the City’s objective
Questions on this RFP must be submitted in email by the close of business (4:30 P.M.) on Friday, December 8, 2024. No phone call responses to questions will be provided. Responses to all questions and / or any revisions to the RFP will be posted to the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN) by the close of business on Friday, December 8th. Questions should be submitted to Brad Willey, Parks Supervisor, 120 East First Street, Monroe, MI 48161 or email brad.willey@monroemi.gov. Vendors are free to view the facility at their pleasure. It will be the sole responsibility of the vendor submitting a proposal or proposals to thoroughly familiarize themselves with the condition of the fields when setting forth the scope of work and costs.
Submittals are due by 10:00 A.M. on Monday, December 9, 2024 to the office of the Clerk-Treasurer, and a public acknowledgement of their submission will be subsequently made in the City Council Chambers, but pricing will not be read. Proposals will be available for public inspection for a short time following their opening, and subsequently upon request to the Clerk-Treasurer.
Proposal should be submitted to:
Michelle J. LaVoy, Clerk-Treasurer
