The Monroe Metropolitan Wastewater Treatment Facility is seeking bids to replace the existing Ravenwood Lift Station Building and Control System including the design, build and installation. The control panel is to be installed in a new pre-fabricated or stick built building. Building to be included in bid price. The station is located at 5450 Poplar Dr, Monroe, MI 48161. Bids are to include all costs for design, labor, materials, equipment, transportation, etc to complete the project. Project is to be bid as a lump sum.
Scope of Project (Controls)
Submit shop plans and specifications for review and approval before building any panels and or commencing in the removal and replacement of existing control system.
Furnish and install new control panel on unistrut in new enclosure (use attached schematic as a guide).
VFD’s to be Lense/A.C. Tech #ESV222N02ZXB
All relays to be push to test with indicator lights.
New level controller to be:
o Pulsar/Ultra 5 with transducer – DB10
Extra circuits to be provide for:
o Heater
o Utility receptacle
o Lights
o SCADA PLC
Existing SCADA equipment to be moved to new building (PLC, radio, antenna and UPS), PLC and radio are powered by UPS in separate adjacent panel.
Lights with switches to be included:
o One in panel
o One in building
Furnish and install 2 rigid conduits to wet well (minimum 12 inches cover), one conduit for pump cables that will go to a 10 x 10 PVC Jbox and one conduit for the transducer and floats that will go to a 6x6 PVC Jbox mounted in the wet well. The transducer to be hung on new stainless steel hanger and hardware (approx 10’ from the top of the well).
New 100A, stainless steel service with breaker to be built on unistrut rack along with new 3 position stainless steel disconnect and electric meter
All shutdowns and down time must be coordinated with Wastewater personnel.
Final connections shall be completed in one day, if not it will be the contractor’s responsibility to by-pass pump the station.
Remove & dispose old control cabinet, conduit and structures.
Scope of Project (Building Options)
Building to be 6’ x 6’ x 7’ tan fiberglass building with concrete pad / ratwall per manufacturer’s specifications / building permit requirements or stick built building 6’ x 6’ x 7’ (peak) and concrete pad / ratwall that meets local building permit codes. The existing station building is located within the Monroe County Road Commission (MCRC) public right-of-way. The sketch below shows the new proposed building to be on the east side of existing building such that the MCRC has approved for the proposed location. Any MCRC permit fees will be paid for directly by the Monroe Metropolitan Wastewater Treatment Facility. The stick built building shall have faux brick siding to match character of the area. Shop drawings and the final building option shall be approved before removal and replacement commence and any panels are built.
