Summary of Specifications:
This project involves the rehabilitation of various elements of the bridge superstructure and substructure. The largest single component of this project work will be the rehabilitation of pre-stressed concrete beam ends, along with associated related work, including a temporary support system. The bridge may be closed to all traffic for the duration of the project. The Engineer’s Estimate is $1,412,357.90. Due to the complexity of this project and the desire of the City of Monroe to solicit bids from only qualified bidders, only bidders with a prequalification through the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) of category “Fa” will be considered for award. A REQUIRED Pre-Bid meeting will be held on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Monroe City Hall. Bidders shall note that Prevailing Wage provisions apply to this work, and are contained within Division J of the contract, with required wage rates listed in the appendix.
