The City Clerk of Monroe, Michigan will receive electronic proposals until 10:00 a.m. (local time), on Monday, May 20, 2024, for 2024-2025 WATER TREATMENT PLANT CHEMICALS, through the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN) online bidding website. The bids will be publicly open and read aloud via a Zoom on line meeting at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 20, 2024. Anyone that would like to participate in the bid opening must send a request email to edward.sell@monroemi.gov to receive an email invitation to the opening.
The bid request is for four (4) different chemicals and bidders are not required to bid on each chemical. Bids for individual chemicals are acceptable and expected. All bid prices are for the one year period of the fiscal year 2024-2025. Bids should be submitted for the annual period of time. The proposal must meet the bid specifications for each chemical.
A Bid Bond, cashier’s check, certified check or money order in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of your estimated total cost must accompany your bid. The bond must be from a company authorized to do business in the State of Michigan. Company and personal checks are not acceptable. Please upload a copy of the bid bond through MITN.
The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality, to modify quantities and to make award in the best interest of the City.
Bids will need to be held for 60 days. The City would like to recommend an award at the Monroe City Council meeting on June 3, 2024.
