Sealed proposals for:
WATER TREATMENT PLANT MOTOR AND DRIVE PURCHASE
will be received, through electronic submission to the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN) until 10:00 A.M., LOCAL TIME, Monday the 9th day of May, 2022. The bids will be publicly unlocked from the MITN web site with bid total and other pertinent information read aloud at 11:00 A.M. the same day via Zoom teleconference. Bidders desiring to attend this opening should email edward.sell@monroemi.gov no later than Wednesday, May 4, to obtain the meeting link. This contract shall consist of the purchase of a Square D motor control cabinet (VFD), and a 250 HP open cooled motor, in accordance with the specifications and the manufacturer's recommendations.
The specifications may be obtained from the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN) / Bid Net Direct at https://www.bidnetdirect.com/mitn.
The City of Monroe reserves the right to accept any proposal, to reject any proposal or to waive defects in proposals. A bid bond or certified check made payable to the City of Monroe in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid must be posted by each bidder with his / her bid. No bidder may withdraw his bid within THIRTY (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof, but may withdraw it at any time prior to the scheduled closing time for receipts of bids. We plan to recommend an award at the Monroe City Council meeting on May 16, 2022. All deliveries shall be received by October 14, 2022, the bidder shall provide their delivery date with their bid. Liquidated damages shall be assessed in the amount of $75.00 per day if the products are not received by the delivery date.
