Description

The City of Mt. Pleasant is requesting qualifications and proposals for legal services as bond and tax counsel. The successful respondent will be part of the financing team responsible for the revenue bond issue and will provide advice and counsel to the City and other team members as necessary. At this time it is anticipated the bond issue will be approximately $17,000,000.

RFP Respondents: All members of the firm(s) designated to provide counsel services to the City must be members of the State Bar of Michigan and must have an office located in Michigan.

Qualifications Based Selection – The City of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, is requesting sealed bids at the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 320 W. Broadway, Mt. Pleasant, Michigan 48858, until 1:30 p.m. (local time), on May 11, 2021, at which time and place the bids will be publicly opened and read. Due to closures and adjustments related to the COVID-19 virus, bid submissions are now required to be submitted electronically to a secure email at bid@mt-pleasant.org. Please make sure the subject line of your email clearly states the project you are bidding (“2021 Legal Services – Bond & Tax Counsel”). Bids must be submitted by 1:30 p.m. on May 11, 2021.
