Summary of Specifications:
The City of Pontiac has allocated funds for the reconstruction of Paddock Street from south of Osmun Street to south of Auburn Ave for a length of 0.45 miles. These funds shall be used to provide new HMA pavement, curb and gutter, drainage, intersection improvements, new sidewalk, signing, pavement markings, utility adjustments, replace approximately 2500 ft of existing water main and water services for the City of Pontiac residents. Paddock Street will be closed to through traffic for the duration of construction. The Contractor shall provide local traffic access to residents along Paddock Street. MDOT Prequalification requirements: The Contractor or Sub-contractor performing the following work shall be MDOT Prequalified: Hot Mix Asphalt / Bituminous Paving (Cb) Grading, Drainage Structures, and Aggregate Construction (Ea) Concrete, Curb and Gutter, Driveways, Sidewalks (J) The work to be done under this Contract shall begin on or after June 30, 2016 unless written authorization is obtained from the City or its representative. All work shall be completed by September 2, 2016. All workmanship and materials shall be in accordance with the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) 2012 Standard Specifications for Construction, MDOT Frequently Used Specifications listed in Appendix A, City of Pontiac Standards. In addition all workmanship and materials for soil erosion, sanitary sewer covers and adjustments, and water main, water services, appurtenances, fire hydrant, gate valve, and gate well covers and adjustments shall be in accordance with the Oakland County Water Resource Commissioners Standards, Details, and Specifications.
