NOTE: This project calls for utilization of compacted concrete pavement, which is placed with a high density paver. Contractors who do not have access to a high density paver should not pursue this project.

This project is being bid for the removal and replacement of the concrete pavement along Vanguard Drive starting at the edge of Telegraph Road to 637 feet east. The project includes 4,776 square yards of pavement removal, 4,650 square yards of 8-inch aggregate base, 2,327 feet of curb and gutter, and 3,793 square yard of 9-inch compacted concrete pavement.

Sealed bids will be received at the City of Pontiac Clerk’s Office at 47450 Woodward Avenue, 1st Floor, Pontiac, MI 48342 plainly marked with “VANGUARD DRIVE COMPACTED CONCRETE PROJECT” until June 24, 2021 at 1:00 PM at which time they will be publicly opened. It is the offeror’s sole responsibility to ensure that their bid is physically deposited with the Clerk’s Office prior to the time and date specified. Late bids will not be opened and will be rejected unopened regardless of the degree of lateness or the reason thereto, including causes beyond the control of the offeror.
